One of the intentions of education is to simplify our lives so that we can discover or sense wonder in the little things of life in a world where many learn to seek misery in the midst of comforts.
Dr. Sundar Gandikota was with the manufacturing sector in the functions of design, project management, engineering manager and general management for sixteen years. In the year 1998 he stepped out of industry to pursue his childhood call of understanding deeper questions of life and experiencing alternative ways of life. He joined the Rishi Valley School (Krishnamurti Foundation of India) as its faculty member and was there for eight years. He had brief stints in the Chinmaya International Residential School, Coimbatore and Anubhuti School, Jalgaon, before taking charge as the Principal of Orchid International School, Nasik, in April 2009.
He is keenly interested in understanding, designing and implementing appropriate management and educational processes in schools so that children are able to responsibly respond to the complex demands placed on them. He has earned his doctorate by conducting a research study on “A STUDY OF THE MANAGEMENT STYLE AND GROWTH OF STUDENTS AND TEACHERS AT RISHI VALLEY SCHOOL.”
