The campus has a plethora of fauna with varieties of avifauna, insects, reptiles, amphibians, crustacean’s etc. Approximately 71 species of birds have been seen in the span of one year from June 2009 to June 2010. These species include resident as well as resident migratory species.

To name a few – Mynas, Bulbuls, Nilgiri flycatcher, Golden Oriole, Sunbirds, Bee eaters, Cuckoos, Doves, Kites, Swift, Martin, Weaver bird, Indian roller, Egrets, Wagtails, Peafowl, Spotted Munia, Shrikes, Coot duck, Ibis, Partridge, Herons etc. Insects like beetle, moth and different types of butterflies etc. are seen.

Among the reptiles we have snakes which include venomous and non-venomous species,lizards, Gecko etc.

The species of snakes spotted on campus are - Indian Cobra, Saw Scaled Viper, Python, Rat Snake, Sand Boa, Common Krait, Russell’s Viper, Green Vine Snake etc.

Many varieties of frogs, earthworms, crabs, spiders, ants, centipedes, mollusks and scorpions can be spotted. About 57 types of plant species are available on campus.
