After the first quarterly, half yearly and the third quarterly examinations, we have a detailed class review of every class separately in which each child is discussed in detail. We spend an average of 12 to 15 minutes per child so that a comprehensive, non-quantitative understanding of each child is developed. Based on this, all the teachers, collectively and collaboratively, decide the support, help or timely intervention the school will have to organize with or without the association of the parents. All the concerned subject teachers, aesthetic department, sports department teachers and house parents are present in this meeting. The respective coordinators and Principal also contribute actively in this meeting, which is convened by the Class Teacher.
Generally, we discuss about each class on a successive day because each class requires about 3 to 4 hours and we do not want the daily schedule to be affected by it.
Subsequent to the reviews, we organize a special Parent-Teacher Meeting for the students of academic and/or behavioral concern. As the process involves rigour and detail, we do not venture into providing feedback on a more regular basis and would request parents to co-operate with the school on this matter. We would like more time to be spent in working with children rather than reporting about them to parents more than relevant and necessary for the school and parents to come together on this important matter.
